I AM TOTALLY PROUD OF THIS GUY & I RESPECT HIM TOTALLY

I am also PROUD of what I do and what I stand for. I have devoted the balance of my life to my advocacy work and know before long I will be instrumental in bringing about total equality for the LGBT worldwide, as well as eradicating homophobia from societies across the globe.

It may not happen in my lifetime, but at least I will know I gave it my best and hopefully paved the way for others to pick up where I left off. Do you want to be a part of that or do you just want to sit back and criticize me for my efforts, as many of you so enjoy doing?

SHOOT FOR THE STARS...true optimism is a blessing!

NOW, WHAT I AM NOT PROUD OF ARE THE FOLLOWING:

1. Those who criticize & sit there & don't do a damn thing...
2. Those who are supposed to be leaders, but won't put the LGBT above their own egos...
3. Those who say they weren't contacted, but were & just didn't want to get involved...
4. Those who spend more of their time soliciting donations rather than taking action...
5. Those who say they know you, but spread rumors of what they want others to think...
6. Those who want you to do it all for them, but they won't do anything for you...
7. Those who say their way is the only way, but yet never tried your way...
8. Those who said they support your efforts, but then you never hear from them again...
9. Those who give you a commitment, but then never follow through...
10. Those who quote you with what they wanted you to say, not what you said...
11. Those who lie to make themselves look better at your expense or that of the LGBT...
12. Those who don't give a damn & would do anything to make you as miserable as them...

Yes, I am fairly new to LGBT activism, but I have always been gay and I have always set high goals and I have always done what I truly feel is the best thing to do in advancing the rights of the LGBT and for those of you who think otherwise, then you really don't know me.

For those of you who fit in any of the 12 categories above, I did not list those items to hurt or offend you, I listed them so just maybe it will allow you to realize that just maybe a little tweaking in your own personal behavior might just give you that quality of life and freedom of happiness that will allow you to give those around you a better quality of life, as well as allow your efforts to do so much more!

Yes, I have fit into some of those categories at one time or another in my life, but I can tell you without a doubt, when I realized it and adapted, it gave me a whole new outlook on life and expanded my abilities to accomplish so much more...

Since I started this campaign and work on the 2012 Worldwide LGBT Civil Rights Marches, I have met a great deal of truly amazing and wonderful people who do truly amazing and wonderful things both individually and within their groups or organizations, but I have also met my share of people who fit into the categories listed above and I am not proud that they are within our own communities and organizations and are visible to our opponents. As I read in a book about a year ago, written by one of the all time great LGBT Activists, this excerpt from a paragraph has stuck with me and probably always will...the LGBT are at times our own worst enemy and we are continually fighting the stigma and stereotypes that our opposition paints us with!

HUGS TO ALL OF YOU AND LET'S PLEASE PUT ALL DIFFERENCES ASIDE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHAT MANY HAVE SPENT MONTHS ON IN PRELIMINARY PREPARATIONS AND MAKE 2012 OUR YEAR, THE YEAR THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE YEAR THE ADVANCEMENT OF RIGHTS FOR THE LGBT TOOK A GIANT LEAP FORWARD.

REMINDER:One of the important areas that came up in the study performed last year for the timing of this event was of course ELECTION 2012; the LGBT advancement of rights stand to take a step backward if the LGBT does not educate themselves and our allies as to the issues and where candidates stand on overall issues of importance to the LGBT. These marches are to educate and enlighten in this and many other areas. So yes, WE DEMAND FULL FEDERAL EQUALITY and we want 100% KNOWLEDGE OF LGBT ISSUES AND CANDIDATES POSITIONS ON THOSE ISSUES KNOWN TO THE LGBT AND OUR ALLIES and we want 100% REGISTRATION AND ULTIMATE VOTING BY ALL LGBT AND OUR ALLIES. The committee is urging some form of voter registration at the march site, as well as handouts on LGBT issues of importance in this election year! There will be other specific demands for your own individual city/state/province/area/country where your march and non-march events are held; as long as they relate to equality for the LGBT, Basic Human Rights, or other pressing LGBT issues such as bullying, etc., please use these events to include those as well!

2012 HONORARY MARCH LEADER FOR THE LGBT HUMAN/CIVIL RIGHTS MARCHES

                          2012 HONORARY MARCH LEADER
The Gay Reverend Magora E. Kennedy is 100% New York State, suburban and urban. Rev. Magora was born in Albany, New York, the state capital, on September 22, 1938 and has been residing in The Bronx since the mid-1990s. She is the mother of five, the grandmother of ten, and the great grandmother of five. Is this unusual? Absolutely!  Way back then, women were expected to get married, and to a man; in Rev. Magora's situation, she was under extremely heavy, forced, and emotionally tormented pressure. Make no mistake, Rev. Magora dearly loves all of her blessed twenty offspring! Because of her big clan, she is known as the Gayest Great Grandmama.

Rev. Magora, with her minister's collar on, was there the very first night of the Stonewall Rebellion on Friday, June 27, 1969. In the daytime, Rev. Magora and several friends paid their respects at the funeral of the great, color-less entertainer Judy Garland at her huge public funeral in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Four gay women were driving out of Manhattan, after an evening of food and drink in Greenwich Village that very hot Friday night headed to Provincetown, Rhode Island. They all had been talking about the great career and short life of gay icon Judy (47) all the while listening to the radio in the car. They hadn't driven very far, still in Manhattan, when they heard a brief item on the local news, "This just in! An uprising in Greenwich Village has just broken out at The Stonewall Bar involving the police."  They turned the car around and headed right back to Greenwich Village. When they arrived on Christopher Street, the cops were already in full mode and had people in a police paddy wagon. There were still other LGBT patrons inside as they were slowly parading people out the front door of The Stonewall Bar. There was a gay boy who actually tried to escape and nearly escaped, but was grabbed from behind, pulled to the ground out front of the bar, and was then needlessly drop-kicked by a big uniformed cop. The boy's nose hit the pavement and was bleeding profusely; his standing up to this police abuse sparked the rebellion.

At 73, today Rev. Magora is still going strong and is always PROUD and excited to tell her story so LGBT history will continue to live on...

Magora for extended conversations over the telephone on two separate occasions; I could write for hours on what we talked about. An LGBT equality movement comprised of members from all walks of life and of various & diverse sexual orientation and gender identities, in addition to all of our family, friends, and allies. Created for the achievement of basic human rights, inclusive of full legal civil rights allowing freedom from unwarranted infringement by governments and private organizations while allowing and ensuring one's ability to participate in the civil and political life of the state without discrimination or repression. Synopsis of Event Structure:

The structure is simple; it is Town Hall type of organizing, more so from the bottom up, rather than the top down. It is not one centrally located march, rather a number of marches worldwide, along with other local ancillary events in numerous locations (both march site & non-march site locations) such as private watch parties both on & offline, in addition to public watch parties at local LGBT community centers (both of these sort of a join in & create your own event type of thing for those unable to attend a physical march), as well as after parties upon completion of the march at set locations arranged by Lead Organizer for that march city. Inclusion of the masses, regardless of where, is in the utmost minds of the committee, in addition to introducing and bringing in as Lead Organizers many from the younger generation as well as seasoned individuals as after all, the younger generation is our future of tomorrow. The committee is utilizing extensive online social networking for the success of this event!

We are guiding and assisting these independent Lead Organizers in numerous ways for them to plan and organize these marches in each of their locations. This guidance takes on many forms, such as a continual private message thread on facebook for updates, questions, interactions, etc.; this thread includes all Lead Organizers, along with every member of the International Committee, in addition to any other active LGBT Activist/Advocate so desiring to be a part of this historic event. With each Lead Organizer knowing their own location in most every aspect (land area, local & state LGBT organizations, LGBT community centers, LGBT & LGBT friendly businesses, etc.) much better than the International Committee, we felt it important the existence of their own freedom to organize.  Many already receiving assistance from their local LGBT community centers, LGBT organizations, and LGBT businesses prove this approach is working; assistance such as organizing fundraisers, donating much needed supplies (one LGBT club even having a designated sign making night with all supplies furnished), etc. Starting the preparations early allow for this involvement of the local community every step of the way while building excitement and riding the momentum up to the huge event. Involvement of the community encourages a more active participation on event day... Another great area of assistance many Lead Organizers have found is the total support from the various PFLAG chapters (locate one anywhere in the world at http://community.pflag.org/page.aspx?pid=803 ), thus involving the many thousands upon thousands of supportive family and friends that do exist; in addition, certain LGBT friendly churches have offered fundraising assistance for such events (to inquire for specific areas, go to http://www.gaychurch.org/Find_a_Church/find_a_church.htm ).

Lead Organizers are finding unity and cooperation among other LGBT equality organizations for this historic event, with one Lead Organizer in close association with GetEQUAL*, an organization that inspires and encourages the LGBT to take that bold action such as we are with these marches! Another group of activists the Lead Organizers are finding very receptive to a coalition for this event is the various Occupy movements around the world; the important thing here is that our organizers contact the local Occupy group in their march site location immediately to get our event on the local Occupy calendar, assuring them while the LGBT lead this event with our demand for FULL CIVIL RIGHTS NOW, they are welcome to include their various demands as well ( http://www.occupytogether.org/ is a great site to locate the Occupy groups in various cities around the world). Every single day unity is being achieved among various LGBT equality organizations as affiliations are continually being formed for this historic event! The latest LGBT equality organization to sign on to this event is Marriage Equality USA®, with a mission to secure legally recognized civil marriage equality for all, at the federal and state level, without regard to sex identity, gender identity or sexual orientation (contact information for MEUSA at end of disclosure). Excerpt from article in the Washington Blade, America's Leading Gay News Source, on 01/12/12:

D.C. gay activist Phil Attey, who has used Facebook to organize LGBT-related endeavors, said Knudson contacted him last year to seek his help with the worldwide march project. Attey said he supports the project and thinks the decision by organizers to hold marches in many cities rather than just Washington was an “excellent idea.” Attey called on march organizers to focus their attention in the U.S. on electing LGBT supportive members of Congress in the November election.

With social media at the forefront of mass communications, the committee is utilizing one of the largest social sites in the world, FACEBOOK, to achieve inclusion of the masses.  Proving this effectiveness is being achieved at this very early stage with one Lead Organizer having several thousand members in a group designated as their local chapter of the Worldwide Marches, with the availability to set up an individual Event Page for that specific location with mass invites for this historic event; care must be given though so as to not slight the benefit of a broad coalition of those LGBT equality groups and organizations not represented on FACEBOOK. Twitter, LinkedIn, dot429 professional LGBT network, and many others are also being utilized to achieve results.

Fundraising:

The subject was touched briefly above in some of the narrative. To expand, with the structure these marches have taken on, along with the independence advantage bestowed upon each of the Lead Organizers, expenses incurred will be minimal as we are not setting the stage for box office attractions along with their inherent expenses, rather we are setting the stage with enthusiastic and eager diverse individuals from all walks of life, along with our family, friends, and all other allies. WE ARE THE PEOPLE, WE HAVE DEMANDS, and while we may show up with homemade signs and banners, WE WILL BE SHOWING UP! We are NOT trying to impress anyone with fancy paraphernalia, WE ARE MARCHING TO MAKE A BOLD IMPRESSION of our DEMAND and INTENT to GAIN OUR BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS, to LIVE WITHIN THE SAME LAWS & GUARANTEES enjoyed by other segments of society. It doesn't take a great deal of money to accomplish this...

The committee found, in the preliminary study prior to launching this event, there are many LGBT owned & LGBT friendly businesses within the local communities more than willing to donate certain services and supplies for an event of this nature; one just needs to find them and ask. Most LGBT communities have local newsletters, e-magazines, etc. that many times have a section in the back listing LGBT owned & LGBT friendly businesses in the area; word of mouth around the community is another great source of information. LGBT churches, clubs, bars, community centers many times will help with supplies for signs and banners; in addition, LGBT clubs and bars encourage fundraising events sponsored by and at their location, as well as the placement of promotional flyers as it draws patrons to their establishment. Additional encouragement for this participation many times is accomplished by scheduling watch parties and after parties at their particular establishment on event day to accommodate those not able to physically attend a march, as well as a place for the marchers to gather after the event (this also works well for those establishments in non-march site locations). When approaching stores for supply donations, it best to mention they are for signs and banners for the Worldwide Human/Civil Rights Marches coming up in the city (Dollar & Thrift stores are great places to approach as well).

The committee did approve the sale of an Official Event T-Shirt; the printing and sales are totally handled by an LGBT owned business out of Atlanta. The company is totally independent of this event, with no committee member benefiting from the sales of the T-Shirt. The company has agreed to donate $3.00 (USD) per T-Shirt sold to help defray any allowable ancillary expenses incurred by a registered Lead Organizer in the planning and organizing of this event, providing an original receipt is available detailing the expense. Those incurred expenses should be minimal considering the structure of this event, the aggressive solicitation of donated supplies at each march site location, as well as the availability to each independent Lead Organizer of fundraising efforts at each of their march site locations as touched upon above. To alleviate the need for extensive and time consuming fundraising revenue distribution and internal controls at the committee level, the committee has reached an agreement with the T-Shirt supplier to submit a report of T-Shirt sales to the committee at the end of each month beginning with January and ending with April; likewise, the Lead Organizers will submit electronic copies of original receipts to the committee at the end of each month for the same time period of any expenses incurred at march site location level that was not either donated or paid for by local fundraisers. The committee will summarize the receipts and send the T-Shirt supplier a list of disbursements to be made to each Lead Organizer by the 15th of the month following month end to the extent fundraising revenue from T-Shirt sales covers those disbursements (any underage or overage of revenue will be carried over to the next month). It is projected and highly anticipated fundraising revenue from T-Shirt sales will far exceed any reimbursement necessary to Lead Organizers; any excess will be divided equally and donated to an LGBT charity at the local level chosen by each Lead Organizer, along with any excess of funds from fundraising done, if any, by the Lead Organizer at their local level. It is highly suggested all Lead Organizers promote the Official Event T-Shirt along with the promotion of their own march site location. T-Shirt promotion is not just for march site locations, but worldwide to every location, including all those watch parties, after parties, and other non-march ancillary events.

With each independent Lead Organizer being autonomous in nature, it is their choice, as an independent, as to how they will account and hold fundraising revenue from their own local march site fundraisers to cover their own expenses incurred, if any. A confidential Identification Number has been assigned to each registered Lead Organizer for various reasons with one of those being a way for local march site location individuals encountered to verify and confirm with the committee the legitimacy of each Lead Organizer as a registered Lead Organizer for the 2012 Worldwide LGBT Civil Rights Marches.

Honorary March Leader:

The Gay Reverend Magora E. Kennedy is 100% New York State, suburban and urban. Rev. Magora was born in Albany, New York, the state capital, on September 22, 1938.  Rev. Magora, with her minister's collar on, was there the very first night of the Stonewall Rebellion on Friday, June 27, 1969. Proof why this Education & Enlightenment is so vitally important:

One of the administrators of the creator of this event, the International Committee chairman, received a letter a few months back from a US Congressman. This member of Congress had just finished reading a book given to them by one of their constituents. The following statement was made by the politician regarding their view of the rights available to individuals of the LGBT community, as well as the effect the book had upon them.

“I have always respected the rights of an individual to live their life as they see fit within the constraints of the bodies of law within their territorial jurisdiction. With that being said, certain individuals with situations resulting from behavioral and sexual choices due to individual identity are not always allowed these same rights. I have always taken the majority position of those who elected me to office when legislation or decisions of this nature come up. Recently, I have assessed various ways of encouraging those who elect us to educate themselves in this particular area in order that they understand the ramifications that could result when voicing their position if ignorance on any issue is present. This book could be that partial eye opener with the education they need in this area. I see things somewhat differently having read it, giving me the courage to realize an injustice is possibly done to those individuals with varying sexual preference and identity.”

The member of Congress went on to say, “A clerk in the office, who incidentally read the book after I finished, shared with me a group created on facebook. I am sure you are aware that campaigns carried out by collective groups of advocates, on any issue, carry more weight as the number of participants rise. With the aggressive goal of one million, the campaign will carry significant weight, once met, when taken through the proper channels to the target audience.”

A committee comprised of various group members from the creator of this event reviewed some of the details of this letter from the Congressman as the letter contained a challenge issued to the group LET'S REACH 1 MILLION PEOPLE CAMPAIGN...It's a start! LGBT EQUALITY; this was done to determine if the group wanted to accept the challenge and the committee so decided to take on the challenge with full force of the group. The confidentiality of the politician was requested and is being honored by the group during this challenge period of which the group is still in.

The quotes above from the politician emphasized to this march committee just how important this education and enlightenment process truly is; with a member of our own Congress so acknowledging, we felt it was time to take BOLD action by initiating this event and taking the steps necessary to make these marches a truly historic event in this education and enlightenment process.

Dr. Tom Coburn is a US Senator from Oklahoma! Do we trust those elected to that office are informed? We would hope so! Obviously that is not the case. I sent the Senator some correspondence relating to LGBT Equality and Full Civil Rights for the LGBT; the following letter is the response I received:

Thank you for your letter concerning civil rights for people with diverse sexual orientations. It is good to hear from you, and I apologize for the delay in my response.

There are no federal laws and, to the best of my knowledge, no state laws, which single out persons on the basis of sexual orientation, which means that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual (LGBT) persons have the same avenues for protection of civil rights as everyone else.

This is as it should be. I am opposed to discrimination in the law based on sexual orientation and I believe that each of us has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

I visited the Facebook page you included with your email, and I am unsure what specific action the page is requesting. If you would like to write me again regarding a specific issue or piece of legislation I would be happy to explain my views.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL:THESE GUIDELINES/SUGGESTIONS ARE BY NO MEANS INTENDED TO BE ALL INCLUSIVE OR NECESSARILY THE ONLY WAY TO GO ABOUT PLANNING FOR THE MARCH IN YOUR LOCATION; THEY ARE JUST WHAT THEY ARE...SUGGESTIONS & GUIDELINES! Our goal in organizing these marches is to reach out to as many people as possible with the intention of persuading them to stand with us in our battle of demanding FULL CIVIL RIGHTS for the LGBT, including Marriage Equality. It is important to remember that we are not only fighting the laws with these marches, but are also fighting the stigma and stereotypes that the opposition paints us with. The image we present to the public can and does have an enormous impact on the effectiveness of our marches and in some cases, it could even affect our own personal safety. This includes not only interactions with media, law enforcement or other officials, but with spectators as well.

OVERVIEW OF RIGHT TO MARCH: (each country will have different stated/implied rights)

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution specifically allows peaceful marches and the freedom of assembly as part of a measure to facilitate the redress of grievances. Amendment I: Congress shall make no law ... abridging ... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The majority of countries worldwide, along with a somewhat non-committal backing of the United Nations, allow for such marches (please check with your individual state department of your own country for more information if desired).

Now originally, the First Amendment applied only to laws enacted by the Congress. However, starting with GITLOW v. New York, 268 US 652 (1925), in a series of cases, the Supreme Court has held that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment applies the First Amendment to each state, including any local government. The city, county or state CAN MAKE NO LAW, policy or code that can supersede our Federal Right to Assemble and Petition for Redress of Grievances.

PERMITS:

Not all locations necessarily will require a permit to march, so immediately call the municipality of the desired march site inquiring if one is needed.  You will need an estimate of how many people are going to show up as well as the route taken and the date and time. You will have to fill out an application ahead of time and possibly pay a small fee.

In researching numerous logs of marches, many organizers of marches have gotten away without getting a permit due to the way they performed the march. If the march is generally conducted on a public sidewalk or designated walk/jog route and you are not blocking traffic and observe all traffic lights and do not block doorways to businesses and stay in flow with the general public pedestrian traffic moving around the city, you will have no problem without a permit.

THE KEY HERE IS THAT YOU CANNOT STOP AND HOLD UP ANYTHING AND MUST KEEP MOVING, EVEN IF IT'S JUST GOING CONTINUALLY AROUND AND AROUND A DESIGNATED BLOCK OR BLOCKS FOR THE MARCH & YOU MUST OBEY ALL WALK & GO TRAFFIC LIGHTS!

If a permit is required for a special route or location, be sure to have at least someone at the front, middle, and rear of the march carry a copy of the permit with them. Lead Organizers need to start planning at least two to three months ahead of the march date of 4/21/2012, not only for adequate preparation, but in case a permit is required, even though the process of application and obtaining a permit can generally be accomplished within a matter of days. The earlier you start, the better and more prepared you will be for your location. USA ONLY- In the DC area, you will most likely need a permit as it is more difficult to get by without one, but some have in the past...just call the National Parks Permit Office (202) 245-4715 and they can fax you a permit application; in this area call immediately and proceed, as if your desired route is not available for 4/21/2012, you may have to change your route. The National Parks Permit Office will take care of notifying the District of Colombia Police and other city organizations that require special events notification. It's that simple!

TEN MUSTS IN A MARCH:

1. All actions are nonviolent
2. Stay together
3. Stay behind any cops if they present themselves along your route
4. Don't throw anything
5. Don't communicate with the police at all & comply with their requests immediately
6. Designate crowd leaders to be responsible for keeping the marchers in line
7. Be polite, pleasant, & smile; do not engage in disagreements or shouting matches with spectators or passersby
8. Dress appropriately, be sure to wear clean neat clothing; avoid t-shirts with vulgarities & no drastically revealing clothing - THIS IS NOT A GAY PRIDE PARADE BY ANY MEANS
9. Do not bring alcohol, weapons, or any illegal substances; do not come to the march intoxicated
10. The 2012 Worldwide LGBT Civil Rights Marches are not exercises in violent civil disobedience, but are exercises of freedom of speech and public marches, in addition to non-violent forms of certain justifiable individual civil disobedience within reason (if necessary). While we do not promote the risk of any of our supporters to put themselves at that risk of being arrested, we will not put constraints on those who feel it necessary to exercise non-violent justifiable forms of certain civil disobedience as an individual!

PLANNING & ORGANIZING YOUR MARCH:

1. Check & arrange for PERMIT, if needed (see above)
2. Plan your march route wisely; pick a popular & highly visible route (most permit applications require the route on application)
3. Recruit a highly visible LGBT or LGBT friendly individual to LEAD the march
4. Help deliver our message of Full Civil Rights for the LGBT, including Marriage Equality with signs, banners, & the use of a megaphone (best to only have one megaphone as if many, the messages are not clear to the listeners/spectators along the route & usually it best for the march leader to carry the megaphone)
5. Promote your local march...(do it early & all the way up to & including the day of the march)
     a. put up flyers in your area everywhere (especially LGBT & LGBT friendly establishments)
     b. contact all media in your area (radio & TV stations, local talk shows, local newspapers & publications, etc.; contact them early & give them plenty of lead time) and formally invite them to the march and let them know you are available for both pre- and post-interviews
     c. utilize all online social media avenues
     d. use press releases to update your area on the upcoming march
     e. USE THE RESOURCES OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR ASSISTANCE
6. Don't just trust the media to take pictures of the event, be sure you have a couple marchers take plenty of pictures of the march and the crowd that day
7. Each marcher should carry with them copies of flyers detailing what we want (demands for full Civil Rights for the LGBT, including Marriage Equality; if there are other specific demands for your own individual city/state/province/area/country where your march is held, as long as they relate to equality for the LGBT & other pressing LGBT issues, please use this event to include those as well) to hand out to those spectators along the route or anyone else who may ask for information
8. Get people to the march; not just participants in the march, but spectators as well (promoting the march, #5 above, will help in getting both there)

There is currently scheduled a Worldwide LGBT Civil Rights March in 2012 that is already gathering sponsors and supporters by the thousands, as well as initial LEAD ORGANIZERS from around the world. The march will be held worldwide at various locations at the same time, as well as an online news media event that will keep everyone posted on the events at all locations. This event has been created by the fastest growing LGBT Equality group around, with members from around the world:

The group has a challenge from a US Congressman that we are trying to meet and if met, could mean a strong new ally for LGBT Civil Rights in Congress. The part of the challenge we need help with is reaching our membership goal of 1 Million members. The Congressman wants to see if the LGBT can come together and unite and support a new ally in Congress if he is to align himself with the LGBT for our Civil Rights. SO WE NEED MEMBERS IN THE GROUP...That's all!

LGBT EQUALITY is asking our brothers and sisters in other LGBT Equality groups, all LGBT individuals not in any equality groups, and all of our wonderful straight allies for some help. NO, the LGBT community doesn't need UNDERSTANDING and ACCEPTANCE to be entitled to equality, as our rights are our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS that are UNALIENABLE AND UNCONDITIONAL, but we have to be realistic in that certain understanding and acceptance (ample as mentioned above) are necessary along the way, whether we like it or not, as the fight ends up in Washington and/or the courts and we are just helping pave the way for these UNALIENABLE AND UNCONDITIONAL CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!

Originally, I started this group and campaign as a result of feedback I received from my first book released and this group is forever evolving along with what needs to be accomplished for our FULL CIVIL RIGHTS. I get feedback all the time that society needs education and enlightenment if members of society are ever going to allow equality to become a reality at the polls, courts, and/or in Washington. I get heterosexuals telling me their homophobia is almost a thing of the past after reading the book. I get homosexuals telling me they are so glad someone opened up their life so society can see who we really are. I've been told it has helped tremendously in the process of understanding your own inner self, including your sexual orientation and has given many the courage to come out. Parents and friends of LGBT are saying it has helped them in their understanding and acceptance of homosexuality; it leaves a compelling argument definitely in favor of all LGBT individuals that WILL HELP IN OUR FIGHT FOR EQUALITY...SOCIETY MUST KNOW THE REAL US AND WHO AND WHAT WE ARE!

I believe EDUCATION is the key to eradicating homophobia worldwide. TOGETHER, WITH ALL OF OUR INDIVIDUAL & JOINT EFFORTS, WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE & SHOW SOCIETY THAT WE ARE LIVING THE LIFE WE WERE BORN TO LIVE AND THE LIFE GOD INTENDED US TO LIVE...

The feedback we are getting is awesome and we can't keep up with all the messages, etc. and I am so excited to be doing what I'm doing for LGBT Equality Worldwide...it has been a lifelong dream! We just recently received some correspondence from a Washington politician who issued this group a challenge; the details of that challenge are located in the document section of this page.

The LGBT community is somewhat divided on many of the ways to accomplish this achievement of our rights. You know think about it, many LGBT individuals complain about some of the politicians who are in all likelihood closeted, etc. or were at one time and how they actually did more harm for us than good in order to somewhat conceal their own sexual preferences at that time and not draw attention to themselves, or they used our platform for their own personal gain, etc, and I'm sure you know where this is coming from. Well, could it have been because many of the various LGBT lobbyists/groups are so separated from each other and many do not have a unified common supporting of the entire LGBT community that it scared some of the politicians against actually aligning themselves with us. I truly believe this particular politician who issued us the challenge wants to see the LGBT community come together and show Washington that we can come together on common ground and be that segment of society that wants to work for our rights and not just talk about them, a segment of society that wants to not draw so much attention to the fact that we are LGBT, but that wants to draw the attention to the fact that we are a minority class that is entitled to equal protections under the law and the same civil rights all other classes of citizens enjoy. IT MAKES SENSE DOESN'T IT...WELL, LET'S SHOW WASHINGTON AND THE POLITICIANS THAT WE ARE THAT SEGMENT OF SOCIETY THAT WILL WORK TOGETHER, IN A UNIFIED MANNER; it doesn't matter than there are a lot of various LGBT groups working on our equality, what matters is that we can show WASHINGTON and the POLITICIANS in some way, that we can come together to achieve them and just maybe this CHALLENGE is the way the entire LGBT community can finally show WASHINGTON and the POLITICIANS that we can be that unified class of society that needs the support of WASHINGTON and the POLITICIANS!

We are looking for some volunteers who would like to work with some of us more directly in portions of our advocacy work. Most can be done from your computer. It is a lot of fun and it gives you a chance to be more involved directly in the achievement of our equal rights. Il y a actuellement un groupe LGBT relativement nouveau sur Facebook qui se développe rapidement. Si vous n'êtes pas déjà membre, j’apprécierais vraiment que vous vous joignez au groupe (lien fourni au bas de la correspondance). Nous avons récemment reçu un défi D'UN MEMBRE DU CONGRES AMERICAIN et le groupe travaille dur pour relever ce défi. La communauté LGBT a une occasion de prouver au Congrès qu'il y a suffisamment d'individus dans la communauté LGBT qui veulent montrer au Congrès que nous sommes importants et que nous avons besoin que nos congressistes nous aident en nous représentant dans la réalisation de l'égalité des droits comme tous les autres citoyens en profitent. Nous pensons que ce défi est un effort honnête particulièrement la partie reliée au Congressistes notamment pour voir si ça vaut la peine de leur temps et leurs efforts en voyant combien de membres de la communauté LGBT nous pouvons joindre à ce groupe pour nous aider à relever ce défi. Oui, indépendamment de ce que de nombreuses personnes LGBT disent, nous avons besoin du soutien du Congrès pour réaliser la plupart des choses à Washington et au-delà.

Mon livre est promu et vendu sur des différents sites dans le monde entier, ainsi que dans des librairies nombreuses. J'ai fait des apparitions nombreuses dans les médias. Beaucoup dans la communauté homosexuelle «pestent» à propos de l'égalité, des droits des homosexuels, etc., mais la majorité d'entre eux y font-ils quelque chose? Non !!!!!!!!!! Savez-vous le seul domaine où l'aide est demandé pour réaliser l'égalité? L’ÉDUCATION! Comment la société peut, dans le monde d'aujourd'hui accepter quelque chose et de progresser vers l'égalité dans ces domaines où elle n’a eu aucune éducation? Voulez-vous voter pour changer ou améliorer quelque chose si vous étiez ignorants de la réalité des faits? Probablement pas!

Le livre aidera à sensibiliser tout le monde sur l'homosexualité /l’identité sexuelle, et représente une partie de la vie et touche pratiquement tout le monde d'une manière ou d'une autre dans ce monde. Il aidera à jeter la lumière et ouvrir les esprits de ceux qui ignorent l'homosexualité / l'identité sexuelle et aussi il nous montrera que plutôt que de se plaindre sur notre situation actuelle, nous devons promouvoir l'éducation et permettre à la société de voir juste ce qu'est une personne homosexuelle, bisexuelle, ou transgenre. Ce n’est pas strictement à propos du sexe ; presque tout le monde hétéro ou homo, a des rapports sexuels ... ce qui arrive dans la chambre à coucher doit rester dans la chambre. Montrez qui nous sommes vraiment ; nous sommes des êtres humains comme tout le monde dans toute société dans n'importe quelle partie du monde. Alors que nous voulons garder dans la chambre ce qui se passe dans la chambre, nous voulons vraiment être à l'aise à sortir du placard! Peut-être c’est ainsi que nous aurons un temps beaucoup plus facile pour atteindre l'égalité et de rendre ce monde un meilleur endroit pour tout le monde pour vivre en harmonie et respect mutuel.

CECI EST LE CHEMIN A PARCOURIR POUR ARRIVER A UNE COMPREHENSION UNIVERSELLE ET L’ACCEPTATION QU'IL YA VRAIMENT DEUX TRAITS PREDETERMINES DE LA PREFERENCE SEXUELLE, AINSI QUE DES VARIATIONS VIABLES, PARMIS TOUS LES ETRES HUMAINS! L'hétérosexualité, plus largement connues et comprises, elle était demandée et attendue de tous depuis le début des temps. Le monde a évolué vers une société plus exigeante et argumentative que beaucoup de nos anciens philosophes et non-philosophes ne l’ont jamais cru possible, voire probable; beaucoup de croyances archaïques ont finalement obtenu l'époussetage qu'ils méritent pour révéler un tout nouvel ensemble de circonstances! CECI EST LE CHEMIN, IL L’A TOUJOURS ETE, CE N’EST JUSTE JAMAIS ETE UNE PRIORITE PRESSANTE DE PORTER CETTE INFORMATION AU GRAND PUBLIC AFIN QUE LA SOCIETE SOIT VERITABLEMENT EDUQUEE SUR UN SUJET SI INCOMPRIS. LE TEMPS EST MAINTENANT ET L'IGNORANCE S'ARRETERA!

J’ai bien travaillé fort pour mettre mon livre dans les mains d'autant d'individus, d'entreprises, politiciens, etc. que possible car il va effacer progressivement beaucoup de ces attitudes homophobes qui existent à travers le monde. Pourquoi ne pas essayer cette approche, rien d'autre ne semble vraiment effectif sans mettre de longues années / décennies de travail acharné et de faire quelques petits pas de bébé seulement dans la bonne direction. Les pas de bébé sont importantes et nous devons continuer, mais je suis totalement avec l’idée que nous essayons de nombreuses approches différentes pour nous aider à réaliser l'égalité des LGBT beaucoup plus rapidement et dans la période de vie de chacun d'entre nous ...

Mon livre, Living the Difference, est une lecture agréable pour quiconque, indépendamment de votre identité sexuelle. C’est une histoire amusante qui vous fera rire, pleurer, se fâcher, se sentir bien, et à peu près tout autre émotion dans l'intervalle, tandis que dans le même temps elle laisse un argument convaincant en faveur de toutes les personnes LGBT QUI AIDERONT A NOTRE LUTTE POUR L’ÉGALITÉ ... CHRISTIAN FANATICS

Des Chrétiens Fanatiques!

Je me trouve vraiment étonné à cause de certains individus qui se présentent comme chrétiens mais ne possèdent aucune connaissance intellectuelle de ce qu'ils essaient de prêcher dans certains domaines que leurs points de vue incultes ! J'ai récemment publié un livre, Living the Difference: une histoire instructive révélée pour les personnes de tout âge qu’elles soient hétérosexuelles ou homosexuelles, et je suis en train d’utiliser ce livre comme un outil pour éduquer la société sur un sujet auquel beaucoup de gens sont mal informés et dont beaucoup de gens ignorent, c’est l'homosexualité. Une société sans éducation et désinformée est dangereuse. Nous savons tous qu'une société informée et éduquée, sur n'importe quel sujet de discussion, montre généralement une plus grande capacité de compréhension et d’acceptation vis-à-vis de nombreux points de vue relatifs au sujet désigné! Donnez-moi la chance de le faire avec l'homosexualité! Lisez mon livre; permettez-vous de réaliser qu'il y a plus qu’un seul trait prédéterminé de la préférence sexuelle chez les êtres humains! L'hétérosexualité, plus largement connues et comprises, elle était demandée et attendue de tous depuis le début des temps. Le monde a évolué vers une société plus exigeante et argumentative que beaucoup de nos anciens philosophes et non-philosophes ne l’ont jamais cru possible, voire probable. C'est la façon dont il a toujours été et il n'a jamais existé avant une priorité ainsi pressante pour éduquer la société sur tous les faits. Ce n'est pas une question de christianisme comme beaucoup de gens le font croire, c'est une question de savoir si tous les faits sont connus et compris. Ces personnes ont besoin d'arrêter d'utiliser le Christianisme comme leur arme et excuse pour continuer dans cette ignorance.

The three winners of a writing contest, sponsored by Espresso House Publishing in conjunction with their first release by a gay author, Living the Difference by J.C. Knudson, are announced below, along with the re-announcement of the winner of the first membership drive contest for the fastest growing LGBT Equality group on facebook LET'S REACH 1 MILLION PEOPLE CAMPAIGN...It's a start! LGBT EQUALITY, in addition to special selection status of other writings/causes of two of the members of the above group.

The sequel to Living the Difference will have a chapter devoted in showcasing three unique stories from individuals relating to the toughest struggle they encountered on their own path to understanding and acceptance of homosexuality. It will give each winner the opportunity to have their story published, reaching thousands upon thousands of individuals throughout the world. Many humans want to leave a mark somewhere of their existence on this earth and this could well be the way for these winners to leave theirs. They will not only be featured in the sequel, but will also receive a signed certificate of inclusion that will be placed inside their own original autographed hard cover copy of the release. In addition, they will be my personal guests at a book signing location of their choice from the list of appearances subsequent to the book release. They too, will have the opportunity to put their signature in their own section on those books during the book signing event. Who knows for sure, but this could easily launch a writing career if they so desire...

The three winners of this contest are Jessica Lillie Arent, Satori Dennis Agape, and Shawn Brighenti. These individuals were three of over 500 entries submitted for the contest.

The winner of the membership drive contest referenced above is Rachel Hall. Through her efforts of adding her own friends to the above LGBT Equality group and the first line addition of friends of her friends added, the group received over 750 new members from those efforts. Rachel will receive the same as the winners above, with the exception of a story within the devoted chapter, rather she will receive an honorable mention in a special section at the beginning of the sequel with her bio including her efforts in assisting the LGBT on their journey to Equality.

The first special selection status recipient is Michelle Dawn Owens, after her story was selected by my own personal publicist and myself for the uniqueness in content and manner of presentation and for that she will be named in the sequel along with an offer to have her story submitted for publishing in a book of her own should she so desire as an expanded and more detailed story of her life (better get started writing Michelle as we are talking about a whole book, not a featured chapter).

CONGRESSMAN CHALLENGE AUTHENTICITY

Our group LET'S REACH 1 MILLION PEOPLE CAMPAIGN...It's a start! LGBT EQUALITY is still receiving inquiries from non-believers as to the legitimacy of the challenge we received from the US Congressman. Here is a response to those inquiries:

The challenge is as legit as it gets; I don't know what else to say other than you have my word on it and I don't give my word to something I don't know for sure or I don't believe in. The original letter was on campaign letterhead and I even checked the various rules of congress on campaign letterhead and it fit all the criteria, as well it is an actual congressman who sent and signed the letter and he knew too much about my own book to not have actually read it.

In addition, I have always thought this particular congressman was possibly closeted so I firmly believe it is legit and no one has sent it to me as a joke or anything. Originally, I wasn't even going to let anyone in the group know whether it was a male or female, but without even thinking I let out it was a male many times and I didn't even realize I did. I cannot "out" someone in his position as that is not in my nature and I gave my word at the time of acceptance of his challenge that I would honor his confidentiality request until that time he makes a public announcement and/or the challenge is met.

I feel as confident as I possibly can that it is not a sick and sad joke from someone and I am sure election 2012 being right around the corner that he is wanting to test the waters to see just how much support he could possibly garner from the LGBT community prior to deciding to align himself with us and making an announcement. If someone has done this as a sick joke, they sure knew how to make it look legitimate. I even had the legalities looked at as far as the letterhead, the way he worded things and if it was ethical for a congressman to even do something like this, as well as any violations of any rules of conduct during an election, etc. Everything checked out and I would not have stuck my own neck out and my own reputation if I didn't believe it was legitimate.

Other than saying his name and possibly "outing" him, there is nothing else I can do or say and if anyone thinks I am going to possibly "out" an individual just to satisfy someones own doubt as to the legitimacy, then you don't know me too well as when I give my word on something I do not go back on it and I have higher moral and ethical standards than to possibly "out" someone just to satisfy someones curiosity because quite obviously that is all this is, as this challenge came after our mission was defined and really has nothing to do with our core mission, other than possibly assisting us with our work toward LGBT Equality for the LGBT by possibly garnering the support of another Congressman, as our emphasis on educating and enlightening society through a variety of channels is still the same and was already in place prior to this challenge. THIS GROUP ALSO SUPPORTS THE AEB PROJECT, AS WELL AS MANY CAUSES THAT WE WORK ON AND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY; SO IF ANYONE WANTS TO USE THIS CHALLENGE AS A REASON NOT TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS OR WORK TOWARDS EQUALITY THEN IT IS JUST AN EXCUSE ON THEIR PART TO NOT DO ANYTHING AT ALL AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH SOME OF THE INDIVIDUALS IN OUR OWN COMMUNITY.

This is a group campaign to reach as many people as possible to assist in the fight for LGBT Equality Worldwide. I started this group and campaign as a result of feedback I have received from my recent release. I get feedback all the time that society needs education and enlightenment if members of society are ever going to allow equality to become a reality at the polls, courts, and/or in Washington. I get heterosexuals telling me their homophobia is almost a thing of the past after reading the book. I get homosexuals telling me they are so glad someone opened up their life so society can see who we really are. I've been told it has helped tremendously in the process of understanding your own inner self, including your sexual orientation and has given many the courage to come out. Parents and friends of LGBT are saying it has helped them in their understanding and acceptance of homosexuality; it leaves a compelling argument definitely in favor of all LGBT individuals that WILL HELP IN OUR FIGHT FOR EQUALITY...SOCIETY MUST KNOW THE REAL US AND WHO AND WHAT WE ARE!

I believe EDUCATION is the key to eradicating homophobia worldwide. TOGETHER, WITH ALL OF OUR INDIVIDUAL & JOINT EFFORTS, WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE & SHOW SOCIETY THAT WE ARE LIVING THE LIFE WE WERE BORN TO LIVE AND THE LIFE GOD INTENDED US TO LIVE...

OUR CORE MISSION IS TO ACHIEVE LGBT EQUALITY THROUGH PROPER AND PEACEFUL CHANNELS EMPLOYING MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLES ALONG THE WAY. STRONG EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON ENLIGHTENING AND EDUCATING SOCIETY IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE AMPLE UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE THAT IS NECESSARY TO GARNER THE SUPPORT WE NEED TO WIN AT THE POLLS AND IN WASHINGTON...

NO, the LGBT community doesn't need UNDERSTANDING and ACCEPTANCE to be entitled to equality, as our rights are our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS that are UNALIENABLE AND UNCONDITIONAL, but we have to be realistic in that certain understanding and acceptance (ample as mentioned above) are necessary along the way, whether we like it or not, as the fight ends up in Washington and/or the courts and we are just helping pave the way for these UNALIENABLE AND UNCONDITIONAL CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!

The feedback we are getting is awesome and we can't keep up with all the messages, etc. and I am so excited to be doing what I'm doing for LGBT Equality Worldwide...it has been a lifelong dream! The LGBT community is somewhat divided on many of the ways to accomplish this achievement of our rights. You know think about it, many LGBT individuals complain about some of the politicians who are in all likelihood closeted, etc. or were at one time and how they actually did more harm for us than good in order to somewhat conceal their own sexual preferences at that time and not draw attention to themselves, or they used our platform for their own personal gain, etc, and I'm sure you know where this is coming from. Well, could it have been because many of the various LGBT lobbyists/groups are so separated from each other and many do not have a unified common supporting of the entire LGBT community that it scared some of the politicians against actually aligning themselves with us. I truly believe this particular politician who issued us the challenge wants to see the LGBT community come together and show Washington that we can come together on common ground and be that segment of society that wants to work for our rights and not just talk about them, a segment of society that wants to not draw so much attention to the fact that we are LGBT, but that wants to draw the attention to the fact that we are a minority class that is entitled to equal protections under the law and the same civil rights all other classes of citizens enjoy. IT MAKES SENSE DOESN'T IT...WELL, LET'S SHOW WASHINGTON AND THE POLITICIANS THAT WE ARE THAT SEGMENT OF SOCIETY THAT WILL WORK TOGETHER, IN A UNIFIED MANNER; it doesn't matter than there are a lot of various LGBT groups working on our equality, what matters is that we can show WASHINGTON and the POLITICIANS in some way, that we can come together to achieve them and just maybe this CHALLENGE is the way the entire LGBT community can finally show WASHINGTON and the POLITICIANS that we can be that unified class of society that needs the support of WASHINGTON and the POLITICIANS!

In summary:

A somewhat detailed and illicit confidential challenge was received involving moral and ethical considerations placing a great deal of responsibility upon both parties to uphold the integrity of each individual’s character. Normally, getting involved with this type of challenge would not be advisable for our group due to moral pressure possibly involved at the end depending on the outcome of the challenge (what if challenge is met, but subsequent support not there; does one disclose the confidential portions of the challenge revealing the identity of the politician and accepting the responsibility and corresponding moral and ethical consequences of exposing them with ramifications of possible political death or worse). Are waters being tested for a possible controversial political stand with the potential of the possibility a decision could ride on the outcome of the challenge? This could be the opportunity of a lifetime for gay rights!

The correspondence received appeared somewhat shrouded in mystery and secrecy with the message received loud and clear the identity not be disclosed until that time the disclosure is made by the politician; credibility and integrity are on the line with this.

The member of Congress just finished reading a book given to them by one of their constituents. The following statement was made by the politician regarding their view of the rights available to individuals of the LGBT community, as well as the effect the book had upon them.

“I have always respected the rights of an individual to live their life as they see fit within the constraints of the bodies of law within their territorial jurisdiction. With that being said, certain individuals with situations resulting from behavioral and sexual choices due to individual identity are not always allowed these same rights. I have always taken the majority position of those who elected me to office when legislation or decisions of this nature come up. Recently, I have assessed various ways of encouraging those who elect us to educate themselves in this particular area in order that they understand the ramifications that could result when voicing their position if ignorance on any issue is present. This book could be that partial eye opener with the education they need in this area. I see things somewhat differently having read it, giving me the courage to realize an injustice is possibly done to those individuals with varying sexual preference and identity.”

They went on to say, “A clerk in the office, who incidentally read the book after I finished, shared with me a group created on facebook. I am sure you are aware that campaigns carried out by collective groups of advocates, on any issue, carry more weight as the number of participants rise. With the aggressive goal of one million, the campaign will carry significant weight, once met, when taken through the proper channels to the target audience.”

Support of politician if challenge is met:

Work hard on taking a positive stand for equal rights of every citizen regardless of sexual identity and have a press release so stating.

Make a supplemental personal statement on record and for press release.

Work hard to garner support from other Washington politicians on equal rights issues.

Challenge work to be done by group:

Reach the 1 Million members goal by January 31, 2012, to show commitment to this cause.

Work diligently and obtain the support of at least 36 members from the United States Congress as supporters of the group to show commitment to this cause by January 31, 2012.

A committee of 14 members from the facebook group studied the challenge and voted as to accepting it or not. The LGBT community stands to gain a potentially tremendous ally in the fight for LGBT Equality. The group believes this is an honest effort on the part of the politician to do so as long as a commitment and following is shown for the cause.

The members of the group put forth this appeal to all individuals of the LGBT communities throughout the world, as well as every single one of the wonderful Straight Allies throughout the world that have stood by the LGBT communities in their plight for equal rights; please assist this group in our work put forth by this challenge.

TOP 5 PLACES TO LIVE AS A GAY COUPLE

Finally! It’s super exciting that gay couples are receiving marriage licenses and state support in six states; Vermont, Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York! Of course there’s also Washington D.C., our nation’s capital. Now that we are happily married or in a committed partnership, a new question arises: where are the best places to live if we want to be part of a gay community?

Here’s a list of the top five places to live as a gay couple.

1. New Orleans, Louisiana

I would have to say that New Orleans is one of the most diverse and culturally accepting places I’ve ever traveled to. Specifically, I find the French Quarter and the Garden District to be the most breathtakingly beautiful and saturated with same sex partnerships. The people on the streets are genuine and often quite bizarre but always entertaining. They sure know how to throw a hell of a party! People don’t seem to judge each other as harshly as most cities. Magazine Street is especially nice. Many of the store owners are openly gay and most everyone is gay friendly. There are plenty of day and night entertainment options, as well.

2. Washington D.C. – Maryland

It’s the nation’s capital, so not only is it brimming with employment possibilities; it has plenty of different types of scenes going on around town. It is certified as a same sex marriage licensed city and I have heard of many gay couples thrilled at the opportunity to move there and have everything they need, from legal protection, to an advanced and well off city. Also, you’re not to far away from the mountains or NYC.

3. Seattle, Washington

Seattle is a hipster mecca boasting world class coffee houses, art and music. The scene is relaxed enough to be comfortable but busy enough to inspire. You will find plenty to entertain yourselves within this city filled with bars, clubs and art showings. For anyone with artistic flair, I would have to say Seattle has a lot to offer.

4. Minneapolis, Minnesota

As one of the first cities to ban antigay discrimination and embrace a queer lifestyle, this city has really taken flight. The wonderful nightlife and shopping alone would make this a great place to visit, but the gay community within this city speaks volumes. A dear friend of mine was moved by this city and it’s inhabitants so much so that she said she personally had to name it the most gay accepting and entertaining city she’s been to and she currently lives in NYC.

5. NYC, NY

I don’t feel I really need to touch on the details of what makes this city great. It’s just a great city, period. You will find something for everyone here and much of New York is based on embracing different ideas and cultures. It can be molded into whatever you want. With the latest news of NY becoming one of the first states to embrace gay marriage, that certainly helps make it a fabulous place to stick your glittery nest egg!

We have many different vehicles we use in our journey to equality. As our group grows, so does our clout and influence.

J.C. Knudson has done what few other people have dared to do. He has written a book detailing the story of his life. I know tons of people write about their lives –too many to count and within every life is a story or lesson worth finding. What makes this book noteworthy is that J.C. has written with the intent of revealing his earliest memories of same sex attraction. His book details his early sexual development and goes on to outline the events of his life as affected and shaped by his sexual orientation. In writing, he has avoided much of the self pity or self aggrandizement that often characterize biographies, instead choosing to relate his story in a way that allows others to form their own opinions –to reject or to embrace the message he has to share. The resulting book is remarkably under-sensationalized.

J.C. doesn’t try to convince you of what being gay is or is not. He believes that being gay is as natural as being straight and so he doesn’t waste time defending that position. He simply and neatly opens the doors and lets you look inside his life. He is respectful. He doesn’t impose on the reader or force intimacy. His story explores the wasted moments and the misery created through self denial and ignorance, showing clearly that living a lie leads to a life full of regret and self judgment. By embracing himself and his natural desires J.C. opened himself and his life for self respect, for true loving, lasting relationships, and to mutual appreciation. He shares his confusion and desires without being explicit, and in so doing makes it possible for others to learn from his life, offering as much in the way of comfort and hope as he does to dispel fear and ignorance.

Living the Difference reveals in its pages a man with high standards, ethics, dedication, love, and loyalty. The life he has led could easily be any of our lives, at the best and worst of times and yet the difference is there, imposed by the perceptions and culture around him. What did Living the Difference reveal to me? It revealed a human story of triumph and humility that offers hope and a measure of normalcy to counter the perception of irresponsibility and flamboyant decadency which veils the “gay life.”

There is much in this book that may be helpful in dispelling prejudice and fear about gay men in particular. However, the most benefit will be gained by those who will read between the lines and notice that J.C. is no different in his humanity than they are. I recommend this book for those who are struggling to suppress homosexual attractions or who are in confusion about their sexual orientation.

This book will be especially helpful to those men who like J.C. have lived or are living double lives. Many gay men would like to embrace themselves but are afraid that doing so will remove them from having full lives; from the possibility of finding happiness, meaningful relationship, success, and achievement. J.C.’s story reveals that being gay does not condemn anyone to an empty or frivolous life, devoid of relationship, and doomed to rejection. If nothing else J.C’s story offers hope to those who otherwise might have only the fear and self loathing. The real difference between gay and straight life comes from having the sanction to love fully by embracing one’s self. Living well being the only choice one has to make.

I am so excited, my sequel to Living the Difference is due out before year end. My publicist, the publishing assistant, and I just recently selected the title for it and it is amazing; it will knock your socks off. Can't release the title yet as paperwork is still in the works.

If you haven't read my first book yet, you still have time before the sequel hits the market. I'm using my first book as a vehicle to help accomplish LGBT equality through education. I get feedback all the time that society needs this education if members of society are ever going to allow equality to become a reality at the polls. I get heterosexuals telling me their homophobia is almost a thing of the past after reading my book. I get homosexuals telling me they are so glad someone opened up their life so society can see who we really are. I've been told my book has helped tremendously in the process of understanding your own inner self, as well as your sexual orientation and has given many the courage to come out. Parents and friends of LGBT are saying it has helped them in their understanding and acceptance of homosexuality.

I am quite concerned over certain individuals who portray themselves as Christians and have no intellectual knowledge of what they are trying to preach in certain areas, only their uneducated views in these areas. I recently had a book published, Living the Difference: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay, and I am using the book as a vehicle to educate society on a topic many are misinformed on and ignorant of the true actual facts, homosexuality. An uneducated and misinformed society is dangerous with their views. All of us know that an informed and educated society, on any topic of discussion, will generally be a more understanding and accepting society on many views relating to that topic! Give me a chance to do that with homosexuality! Read my book; allow yourself to realize there is more than one predetermined trait of sexual preference among human beings. Heterosexuality, the more widely known and understood preference, has been demanded and expected of everyone since the beginning of time. The world has evolved into a more demanding and argumentative society than any past philosopher or non-philosopher alike ever thought possible or even probable. This is the way it has always been and it's never been a pressing priority to educate society on all the facts. It's not a question of Christianity as so many make it out to be, it's a question as to if all the facts are known and understood. These people need to stop using Christianity as their weapon and excuse to continue this ignorance.

My sense of awareness as to my sexual preferences began early on in life. While most children at the age of five and younger were fully content playing with toys, watching cartoons, and all the other fun things to do at preschool, in addition to those, I was always mesmerized when I saw a handsome man. That fixation on men would at times occur out of nowhere, seeing a man in a television commercial, taking lunch out to the hired hands on the farm, watching older male students play basketball at the high school games, and many other remembrances.

From Eat, Pray, Love:

I was sitting in the formal dining room of a Scottish castle with seven other men and three delightfully batty British women of a certain age. Wine flowed, haggis was served, and the conversation among a roomful of people who barely knew each other roared on with each course.

The writing process is much easier; finding the right publisher, one you can trust with your story, is a challenge. Once the book is written and published, the real work begins, that being the promotion of your book!

What is your definition of “good writing”?

Writing from the heart; writing that will entice your reader to want more and to want to pick up your book and continue reading at every opportunity. To accomplish that, a good writer must be a good story teller, along with a good feel of what your intended audience would want to read!

Are you feeling lacking in some way? Do you wish to lead a life filled with meaning, a life that is filled with abundance? The key to achieving this is to use the power of affirmations to uncover just such a life.

If you are like the person that I used to be, you are too critical of yourself and others. This only serves to keep you locked in a prison whereby you cannot move forward in a positive direction. It will only keep you from developing a healthy relationship with yourself and others. You will remain stuck in a place filled with judgment which will not create any happiness. There is a better way!

“I am” is the most powerful statement in the universe. It is also an expression of “Amen.” It is the epitome of affirmations which you can use to claim what you wish to possess as if you had it now. Over time, you will develop confidence and hope which will lead you to belief. What you put out as your desire will necessarily manifest for you. It is only a matter of practice. You can do it!

Try some of my affirmations and take them in as if they are yours. Better yet make up your own. Say them as if you really mean them. Here are some that you can begin with: I am beloved, I am worthy, I am doing the best I can with what I know about myself here and now. I am prosperous. I am leading a life filled with love. I am leading an abundant life! I am a unique expression of God. I am who I am. I am becoming the person I am meant to be. I am powerful!

Now, try another exercise. Stand in front of a mirror and only look into your eyes. Do not be afraid. Look deeply into your soul and remember the little child that you were. Look into the eyes of that child with the love that child deserved. Try to do it for five minutes every day. You will be amazed at the results.

Now it's time for you to make up your own unique affirmations. Don't be timid. Make them filled with power. Make them express whatever you desire to manifest for yourself. You can do it!

Practice your affirmations every day. If you are feeling depressed or stressed, take some quiet time first. Breathe deeply and let your thoughts bubble up without any judgment. When you feel free, it is time to begin.

Take another deep breath and speak those affirmations with belief. Don't let any doubts get in the way. Do it throughout the day whenever you have free time. Do it when you're in the bathroom. Do it when you are driving. Do it whenever you can.

Remember that the time is now. The present moment is all there is. Appreciate the now. Look forward to the future with eagerness. Only good can unfold for you.

It doesn't take much time or energy, but what you put into it will pay great dividends. You owe it to yourself. You are ready to embark on a new adventure into a life beyond your wildest dreams. I guarantee you will see results. It is only a matter of applying yourself. You deserve it. You are the only one who can do it! The time is now.

For all aspiring writers who would like to have their voice heard:

I am a 56 year old divorced gay male who came out later in life. Having been married for several years, I am the father of two fantastic sons. I went through what many in the gay community have gone through themselves, struggles with identity, as well as fitting in a “one-sided” society. While I lead a seemingly straight life throughout my early and younger middle age years, I knew I was definitely different from the so called “typical male”. I married my high school sweetheart and began on a journey of hope that my true inner feelings and desires would someday change.

I have written a book recently released that I am using as a vehicle on my mission to educate the world’s population about understanding and accepting people who are gay. My book lifts the curtain on the so called “gay lifestyle”, revealing a human portrait that resonates regardless of gender or sexual orientation. It’s been termed a portrait of success, of meaning, and of hope. It lights a candle against the darkness of ignorance.

I am currently in the process of writing the sequel due out late 2011. From the many reviews and responses from readers both homosexual and heterosexual alike, I intend to devote a chapter in showcasing three individual and unique stories from readers relating to the toughest struggle they encountered on their own path to understanding and acceptance of homosexuality. It will give each participant a chance to have their story published, reaching thousands upon thousands of individuals throughout the world. We all want to leave a mark somewhere of our existence on this earth and this could well be the way to leave yours!

There is no cost involved whatsoever in entering the contest and the three winners will not only be featured in the sequel, but will also receive a signed certificate of inclusion that will be placed inside their own original autographed hard cover copy of the release. In addition, they will be my personal guests at a book signing location of their choice from the list of appearances subsequent to the book release. They too, will have the opportunity to put their signature in their own section on those books during the book signing event. Be a part of some well deserved publicity you’ve been longing for.

The guidelines are simple. Submission must be in a Microsoft word document of no greater length than 1,200 words. It must be an original story not previously published or in any form of media presentation. Please include with your submission your name, residence, and email address. Submissions must be received by July 15, 2011. The three winners will be notified by email, as well as publicity releases by August 30, 2011. It Gets Better

The following is a message from me broadcast last evening, Sunday, November 28, 2010 to LGBT youth on Outbeat Youth, a regular segment on Outbeat Now over KRCB Radio FM 91:

"Hi, I'm J.C. Knudson and I am here to tell you it definitely does get better. I am a 55 year old divorced gay father of two sons and I am living the life I was meant to live. No matter where you are at in your life or who you are, you are here for a reason and that reason is to live your life to its' fullest and be proud of who you are. Sometimes it may seem a little overwhelming dealing with so many issues at such an early age, but don't worry, we have all felt that at some point in our life. You have a long life ahead of you and there is plenty of time to decide what you want to do with it. You are so lucky to be a part of this world today and while you may not think so at times, be patient, everything will fall in place for you.

Take a look at what we have accomplished in society today; we are lawyers, doctors, mayors, senators, actors, authors, just to name a few. I remember when Ellen De Generes came out on national TV; look at her now. A recent poll named her the most influential and famous gay rights advocate in America. I know I will see many of your names in places you probably wouldn't think of at this point in your life. Please know you are loved and there is a place for you, a place you will be proud to be a part of.

Always remember, for those difficult times, there are people who want to help; don't ever give up, reach out at any time, we are all here for you! I recently wrote a book about my life and it would have been difficult to complete had I not known such courageous individuals such as you all are!"

EDUCATION

Many in the gay community bitch about equality, gay rights, etc.; but do the majority of us do anything about it? No!!!!!!!!!! Do you know the one area that help is needed in to achieve equality? EDUCATION! How can society in today's world accept something and move toward equality in those areas they are uneducated in? Would you vote to change or improve something if you were ignorant of the true facts? Probably not!

So what's going to change this? EDUCATION!!

I have written a book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay, that is equally as important for straight individuals to read, as well as all homosexuals. The book will help educate all on homosexuality and that it is a part of life and touches virtually everyone in one way or another in this world. It will help shine light and open the minds of those ignorant of homosexuality and will also show homosexuals that rather than bitch about our current situation, we should promote education and allow society to see just what being a homosexual is all about. Don't make it just sexual; most everyone straight or gay has sex...what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom. Make it who we really are; we are human beings just like everyone else in any society in any part of the world. While we want to keep in the bedroom what happens in the bedroom, we definitely want to feel comfortable in coming out of the closet!

Maybe then, we will have a much easier time in achieving equality and making this world a better place for everyone to live in harmony and mutual respect.

Anti-LGBT Bullying

I've been appalled by recent news of suicides among young people who have been bullied because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender or because others perceive them to be LGBT. It's a tragedy, and we need to do everything we can to protect our kids.

Students are often bullied or harassed without mercy because of their sexual orientation or gender identity – or simply because of who their tormentors think they are. All students deserve to attend safe and welcoming schools. Students can not learn when they feel unsafe.

Our local school districts need to take immediate steps to protect all students and make sure they have a safe learning environment.

Don't Preach To Others, Educate Them

This was so interesting and received so many comments that I felt it needed to be posted again, here!

We need to take a strong stance against any group whose individuals oppose upholding any one's civil rights. Those who hide behind the good book need to be challenged and the anti-bullying does not need any further dissecting by uneducated, ignorant, bible thumping individuals who know nothing about what they are preaching to the rest of the world. Those who are homophobic hide behind the claim that it is a sin, when in fact, it is a sin to preach in the name of God by falsely claiming the allegations that these religious zealots tout to their congregations. Educational institutions, academia, educators have an obligation to ensure that all children are protected from violence. Homophobia leads to violence. This is an illness in and of itself and those who struggle with homophobia need treatment. We all know it. Any group whose civil rights were taken away from them for their religious beliefs, or because of the color of their skin, and many other reasons faced the same rhetoric as we are having to face repeatedly throughout the decades . In every instance we heard at every level how it was a sin to be black, how it was a sin to be anything but Christian. These are the same individuals who preach the same rhetoric and claim they are the only ones who have the right set of values.

I'm sure you know about the "It Gets Better Project"; we all need to do whatever we can to show youths, teens, young and old adults alike, THAT IT DOES GET BETTER! I joined the project in order that I can help spread that word. An Oklahoma City resident of 30+ years, Knudson is concerned over the remarks of Sally Kern, an Oklahoma legislator known for her outspoken stance against gays and homosexuality; the obvious ignorance on the issue of homosexuality, shown by her remarks, is just one example of why this education is so vitally important. He is a firm believer that an educated society is definitely a more accepting and understanding society and along with that will eventually follow equality for all on many issues. THIS IS THE WAY IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN; IT'S JUST NEVER BEEN A PRESSING PRIORITY TO GET THAT INFORMATION IN FRONT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ORDER THAT SOCIETY BE TRULY EDUCATED ON A TOPIC SO MISUNDERSTOOD. THE TIME IS NOW AND THE IGNORANCE WILL STOP!

Please help me in whatever way you can to get this ignorance stopped once and for all! Whatever methods or distribution channels you may have available in helping me with this process would be greatly appreciated. I devoted the final chapter in my book to enlisting the help of every individual willing to help with this education, as well as listing numerous ways this can be done!

It's difficult at times to really find the right individuals to get the right information to when needing assistance in promoting something you feel so adamant about. Who are the right individuals?

More importantly, what is the right information? I am trying to wipe out the ignorance that exists in many sectors of society today. That ignorance is not only damning to homosexuals, but also extremely dangerous; ignorance many times incites rioting throughout the world. We've heard of racism as far back as most of us can remember; do you realize that homophobia is another form of racism? Take a look at the laws and morality associated with racism; why should homophobia be treated any different?

I am using my new book recently released, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay, as a vehicle for educating society on homosexuality. Initial reviews show readers exhibiting an inquisitive yearning for more information; these readers are not just homosexuals, but heterosexuals as well. This more personal and direct approach appears to be reaching many individuals who we've been needing to reach for a very long time.

I would be honored for my friends and followers to submit their book review of my recently released book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay. My publicist is scheduling a book signing tour for early 2011 and he asked that I obtain as many reviews of the book as possible. He is pulling together reviews of readers from all realms for inclusion as part of the tour and I will be picking certain reviews from those received for inclusion in my sequel to be released in late 2011.

I am going to post the email I sent to my brother a few days back. He called me the other day and it was the most enjoyable, loving, and understanding conversation we have ever had! Just wanted to share the email with everyone.

Hi Steve,

Been awhile. Spencer and I have moved again. We moved after two years from the new home we had constructed to an older historical home in an established neighborhood much closer to Jarred and Jordan. We spend a lot of time together. Our new address is 7532 W. Fordson Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73127. Our home number is 405-470-6944!

I finally finished my book I have been working on for so many years and found a publisher to publish it. It was recently released and is getting great reviews. It takes some time for new book releases, especially from unknown authors such as myself, to really get off the ground, but before long I will be going on some book tours and signings and hope to be up your way not long after the first of the year! Mom and dad would be so proud of me for the book; it depicts them just as they always were, the most loving individuals anyone could know and how their love was always unconditional. I dedicated the book to them, along with certain others including yourself. Steve, I don't think I would be alive today had it not been for your unconditional love and support through many of the trials and tribulations I've endured throughout the years. I love you and your family dearly!

I wrote my life story from the bottom of my heart, with the total truth of my being who I am and with the love of God able to live the life I was given to live. It is a non-fiction autobiography that has been long over due. With everything going on in this world today with all the hatred and un-Christian like attitudes toward certain individuals and all the teen suicides relating to sexual preferences, I want to spend the rest of my life educating society on an issue so many are ignorant of and thus bitterly opposed to through that ignorance. I am using my newly released book as a vehicle to educate society and through this education will come understanding and acceptance and eventually equality for all. This world has evolved from the beginning and the old archaic beliefs of so many individuals has got to evolve as well. God is good and God is great, but God also knows certain things in this life are out of our own control. If every individual took many of these old archaic beliefs to heart and took them literally, most individuals would be going to Hell for once reason or another and that is not what our God had in mind, nor will it ever be. God would not create individuals who were not meant to live their life the way they were born to live; there is no choice in this, the only choice is to live a lie or live the truth and according to the teachings of Christ, everyone should live a truthful life!

I feel somewhat better today and feel I am on the road to recovery! Still have a tremendous amount of chest congestion, but it seems to be getting better!

Haven't done much the last couple days other than take medicine to feel better.
